First of all categorize the number of cables first like Ethernet cables, telephone cables, Mini USB, Micro USB, AC Power(adapters, converters, extension cords), Coax( for cable TV), AV and ear buds. The simple way to organize the group of cables is to package them in gallon-size Ziploc bags. Mark the outside with a Sharpie and place them in an appropriately sized plastic storage bin. The advantage of this system is to organize those cables as well which are not even frequently used. And these kinds of wires we usually get when we purchase a new mobile phone or routers.
With this kind of organized system of cables that person will be very useful for the other family members and friends as well for their need of spare wires and they do not have to run to the stores to buy it will be already available at home.
